Kale is the trendy new spinach, and pretty darn good for you too. Smoothies make a great vehicle for helping with your kale intake since for some kale can be a bit much to munch on.
If “greens” are not usually your thing try swapping the kale with baby spinach – it has significantly less flavor, but still contains great metabolizing ingredients. You’ll also taste the berries and other fruit more than with the kale.
We always recommend using fresh ingredients – especially during berry season – but frozen ingredients will work too. This is great for breakfast, or for post workout. Enjoy.

- 1 cup kale
- 1/4 cup strawberries
- ¼ cucumber
- ½ apple
- 1 stick of celery
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 banana
- ½ cup chilled green tea
